Ryan has years of experience working with kids of different age levels, presenting for school author visits, assemblies, education conferences, and has developed specific programs for students, teachers, librarians, teens, and families.
School & Library Presentation Experience
Whether its during an energetic, full-school assembly or working with small groups in workshops, Ryan has a broad range experience working with students of all ages. Ryan has been presenting to school kids across Michigan-and-beyond since 2005. For the success his performances in 2012 Ryan was awarded the GWEN FROSTIC AWARD for work greatly impacting the lives of children and promoting literacy. You know with a school visit from Ryan, your students will get a meaningful, inspiring day that they won’t forget.
Ryan co-developed the Write.Create.You. program in conjunction with WGVU Broadcasting and the Loop after-school program. Ryan developed a Summer-Fall comic book workshop with the Maple Street School of the Arts. Ryan has worked with preschoolers through collaborations with ELKs; he continues presenting his creativity-inspiring sessions to thousands of elementary students at libraries and schools; and gives lectures to middle and high school students on career paths throughout the year at events like Calvin’s Youth Writing Festival. Ryan also has experience adjunct teaching at the college level on graphic design fundamentals and technical proficiency.
